Compared previous series, Xperia C, this smartphone is a little bigger but has a slim body and uses a little better materials so it’s not too heavy.

For character of design, the Xperia C3 Dual retains the typical structure of previous series which adopt the body concept of the latest Xperia family with omni balance design at each corner.

Unlike Xperia C which its back cover can be opened, the Xperia C3 Dual actually applies a unibody design. It’s also seen from the placement of the keys and a special slot on the side of the body. The SIM card slot on the Xperia C3 Dual is shaped long and fused in a single hole for two SIM cards and it’s interesting.

As most of the latest Xperia lineup, Sony Xperia C3 Dual also provides a special button to reset the smartphone if it’s error at any time. Its Position is at the top side of the SIM card slot which marked with the words “OFF”.

Display, Operating System and UI

IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, 16 million colors, 720 x 1280 pixels, 5.5 inches, 267 ppi pixel density, multi-touch, Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Triluminos, Android 4.4.2 KitKat

As mentioned before, the Xperia C3 Dual is a little bigger with 5.5-inch screen size but has a higher level of specification than the Xperia C and also uses IPS technology making a wider angle for users. Xperia C3 Dual also uses triluminos screen resolution with the BRAVIA Engine 2 technology included in the category of HD, High Definition, to show a clear and sharp image but some of the competitors already used a 1080p HD full screen in the same class.

As Xperia T3, this smatphone’s screen can also be accessed smoothly even when you use gloves with Glove mode.

With a wide screen and good enough technology, Xperia C3 Dual surely will be easy to access each feature or KitKat application. Even the display screen in the default homescreen position is not only shaped portrait but you can also enjoy it in landscape mode like a tablet.

Camera

8 MP Primary Camera, 3264 x 2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, HDR, Panorama, 1080p video recorder, video stabilization, 5 MP Secondary Camera, 720p video, LED flash, Sony Exmor RS

This is the main advantage of Xperia C3 Dual. This smartphone is specifically intended for Selfie lovers. There are two cameras on the front and the back which can be used for Selfie photo. About the quality with a 8 MP resolution in primary camera, the image results will be felt standard for typical in middle class phone. Xperia C3 Dual’s camera also includes HDR feature, Steady Shot, Smile shutter, image stabilizer and Face Registration.

Besides using the standard shutter button on the side of the body, you can also use touch capture mode to take photos. Otherwise the primaryand secondary camera can be used for video recording. The primary camera supports 1080p full HD resolution while 720p video HD in the secondary camera.

For the taking picture in less lighting conditions, users don’t need to worry about result of photo because Asiafone been provides the light flash. Oscar also is still optimally when recording video with good results. Secondary camera also belongs to Oscar with 2 MP resolution that’s better for selfie.

Asus EeeBox PC EB1030 Performance Review, The Successor of AIO PC

This device has a tiny physical form. Unfortunately mediocre specifications that could only optimized for lightweight computing.

The uniqueness of Asus EeeBox PC EB1030 nettop directly visible from the physical form. Nettop is the term for a desktop PC with a tiny physical form intended for internet access. Nettop is a mini version of the desktop, a netbook which is the shorthand version of notebook. This nettop has a thickness of no more than three centimeters only. Hence nettop can be placed in unusual places.

We can call this product as a wannabe AiO PC. Because the net op provides a bracket that can be placed on the back of an LCD monitor and can be “patched” so similar to the PC all-in-one. Bracket and supporting devices to attached to the monitor was included in the package. However, this mode can only installed on an LCD that has a standard VESA mount.

With Intel Atom Cedar Trail dual core processor, this device suitable for home or office users who are preoccupied with day-to-day computing activities such as use of office applications, Internet browsing, as well as running the music and video. Support of connections fairly standard, with only the four USB 2.0 ports and a card reader 4-in-1 with audio output. While in the back, you will find a display port HDMI and D-Sub to be used simultaneously on two monitors. Although there is an HDMI port, you can only use it to run high definition video files with 720p resolution only. While in terms of networks, you can choose to use a wired or wireless media. Asus EeeBox PC EB1030 is sold with the keyboard and mouse cables. If it is sold with a Bluetooth-based wireless mouse, this package will certainly more exciting.

We love silence of these devices when they are working hard. Even when used at the dawn time, we think this device power is off. Heat it generates is not felt and still within a reasonable temperature despite running heavy applications.

There are old port

COM serial port is intended for the use of older devices such as dot matrix printers or barcode scanners.

Windows Score

Windows Experience Index scores are in the lowest category of processor and gaming graphics. Therefore, this device more suitable intended for lightweight computing activities.

Without USB3.0

USB2.0 ports placed throughout front area. This makes it easily accessible when connected to an external storage media. Unfortunately not included USB3.0 port.

Dell XPS 14 Review, Lightweight with Qualified Graphic

Ultrabook is more often described as a lightweight laptop for mobile activity with a long working power (so it suitable taken away). Unfortunately, there are a lot of complaints addressed to the product such as graphics performance too “ordinary” to the physical structure fragility (due to efforts by the manufacturers concerned with thinness). This view was overhauled through this series of Dell XPS 14 with 14″ screen. This series also comes with a screen size of 15.6″(for XPS 15 type).

When compared to its predecessor (XPS 14z), there are unique differences. XPS 14 is slim (only two inches thick) with a silver color that looks luxurious. But the casing is very strong thanks to the use of hard aluminum combined with the use of magnesium in the palmrest area. While the inside of the ultrabook itself wearing silicone material.

The use of these materials makes the heat of ultrabook quickly spread evenly. Unfortunately, its impact on weight more than two kilograms making it less to call it as ultrabook.

Besides strong on their chassis, this products also equipped with screen display coated with Gorilla Glass. This unique glass famously tough to protect the screen with 1600×900 pixels resolution. Dell seems to want XPS 14 to work as a sturdy laptop since these products will often used in outdoors (so it has risk of bumped/scratched by hard objects). For other similar reason, lithium-polymer battery 8 cells was also made unremovable so they can not be opened/replaceable by user.

XPS 14 available with Core i5/i7 equipped with 8 GB of RAM and nVidia GeForce GT graphics chip 630M. Graphics module is enough to give 3D graphics. This chip has proven able to play games that are not too heavy. Unfortunately, there  I/O facilities which are limited. These include the lack of optical drive supposedly provided for this heavy laptop.

What do offered XPS 14 indeed looks different now. The robust design plus long battery life become a value added that patching lacked of this product in terms of its weight which quite heavy. Products with persistent performance and not fragile design is a great option for those who want high mobility.
