ASUS Maximus V GENE Ready to Welcome the Ivy Bridge

The emergence of the latest processors from Intel with the codename Ivy Bridge has long been awaited. Along with that ASUS launched a new motherboard that supports the Ivy Bridge. ASUS Maximus V GENE become first motherboards from ASUS that uses Z77 socket.

On the rear panel, ASUS MAXIMUS V GENE provides four USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0, an optical S/PDIF, one HDMI port, a single Intel Gigabyte LAN, and six audio jacks.

For business audio, ASUS Maximus V GENE using technology flagship SupremeFX III that will pamper and provide the best audio experience.

Just like the another ROG series motherboard, ASUS Maximus V GENE also provides a ROG Connect port so you can monitor the condition of system by using your notebook.

On its board clear CMOS button was not found because the position has been moved to the rear, making it easier when to clear CMOS into casing.

Interesting and different, ASUS Maximus V GENE provide additional Mini-PCIE Combo Card. On one side like a Mini-PCIE slot.

On the other side of the slot mSATA, therefore it’s called a Combo Card.

Heatsink looks strong and will reduce heat well on its PWM part.

Z77 socket still use the LGA 1155 socket, the same socket used by Intel Sandy Bridge P67 and Z68 socket. The difference Z77 socket has been optimized for new processors paired with “Ivy Bridge”

The sales package quite complete and meets the necessary requirements. In addition, in sales package, this motherboard provides door hanger so that other people will not bother you while you concentrate on game play.
