Review Apple Watch Series 6. It’s been over a week since the new Apple Watch went on sale. After pondering, I decided to buy the Apple Watch Series 6. Thanks to the new “S6 SiP” chip, charging times are shortened, applications start up faster, and performance improvements are realized.
Faster charging. Sufficient charging can be done in a short time before going to bed and after waking up
After spending about a week comparing the Series 6 that I was able to borrow to review compared with the Series 5 released in 2019, the S6 officially claims that CPU performance has improved by up to 20% over the Series 5. It turns out that the chip upgrade delivers noticeable performance.
I don’t think the internal battery “engine” is much different for the Series 6 during the Review Apple Watch Series 6 than for the 5 Series, but the charging speed is definitely faster.
It’s officially claimed that it takes less than 1.5 hours to fully charge from zero to 100% (up to 80%, less than about an hour), but in fact, it’s been 1 hour on the above photo since the Apple Watch was fully charged in the morning day. Even if you wear it during the day, the remaining amount almost never gets close to zero before going to bed. So if you start with around 30-40% battery charge, it should be close to 100% in about 60 minutes.

Starting with iOS 14, a notification will appear on the iPhone when the paired Apple Watch is fully charged.

With the new watchOS 7, you can now see the battery level and the elapsed time since the last charge on your Apple Watch screen. If you open the “Settings” app on Apple Watch and select “Battery,” you can see the current remaining charge in graphs and numeric values.
As you dig deeper into the Battery settings menu, Apple Watch learns the user’s charging habits and saves more than 80% of the charge until before the next use, reducing battery degradation. There is a “full optimization” setting. This is a function that prevents chemical damage to the internal battery over time and extends its life. If you enable it, you can expect to “make a difference” a few years after using the Apple Watch. If you want to use your favorite Apple Watch for a long time, install watchOS 7, and enable this feature.

With the S6 chip installed, apps launch faster. Compared to Series 5 in the same communication environment, the App Store runs smoothly. Letter reading speed is also good. Apple Music’s music operations also reacted sharply. I feel like the search for Shazam songs, which I use a lot on the go, is getting faster.
The Series 6 has the same always-on Retina display as the Series 5. Although the wrist is usually lowered, the screen darkens a little to save battery consumption, but the Series 6 maintains up to 2.5 times the brightness of the previous model. It’s obvious when you select the “GMT” dial, but the Series 6 clearly shows the position where the hour and minute hands point. Even on your wrist at night, the Series 6 has a very bright screen.
And the Series 6 has a built-in U1 chip and an ultra-wideband antenna. The ability to use the Apple Watch as a car digital key is also compatible with the Series 5 without the U1 chip, but will the U1 chip improve short-range wireless communication performance in the Series 6? I want to keep an eye on future announcements about what else can be done.

As a writer, I spend a lot of time sitting down and writing blogs, so I bought my first Apple Watch in hopes of having fitness features so I wouldn’t run out of workouts. There are many days when I can’t hang up the three activity rings of the Fitness (long activity) app while wearing my Apple Watch every day, but I’m grateful to have an Apple Watch that makes me conscious to get up and walk.

With the addition of the “Sleep” app from watchOS 7, and the ability to measure the “Blood Oxygen Wellness” of the Series 6, you can also launch the “Healthcare” app and watch your physical status. Still, it’s been five years since I first met the first Apple Watch, and I regret that I haven’t been able to develop new ways to enjoy it later. Especially when watchOS 7 has added new types of workouts like dancing and core training, but I’m disappointed that I couldn’t get the chance to get started on this, Apple is the original fitness trainer with the Apple Fitness+ video announced at an event in September.
Unfortunately, not all countries are included in the service area at the time of service, which was announced this year, and it looks like six English-speaking countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia will take the lead. The USD 9.99 monthly price is also attractive. Given the courage and complexity of going to a dance or yoga studio, you can practice at your own pace while at home, so it looks like you can keep practicing.
Apple Fitness+ training seems to be able to find a menu that suits you not only based on the type of exercise and popular trainer but also by the time it takes to train. When landing in my country, it seems like a lot of people can practice it if they have short training like office and garden which can be practiced in about 3 minutes with outerwear.
I think there are a lot of people like me who suffer from a lack of exercise due to spending long periods at home due to coronavirus. We want you to set up a beginner, intermediate, and advanced level for every type of exercise, and don’t forget to set up a course that even beginners can start with an interest in dance, yoga, and chillout (like meditation training?).
Even users like me who have been accustomed to the fitness features of the Apple Watch for a long time are looking forward to the introduction of Apple Fitness+, which will deepen their relationship with their favorite watch.
