This time ASUS launches its latest line of graphics cards, ASUS GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II which divided into two types, GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 TOP, and GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 OC, specifically for gamers and PC users who prioritize performance.

ASUS GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II using the GPU option which provides speed 1201 MHz (type TOP) or 1084 MHz (OC type) to increase the frame rate while playing the game, and 143 MHz faster than the other graphics card. The use of PCBs that have been upgraded, provides durability while the graphics card is given a full load and high temperature/heat.

DirectCU II

DirectCU II cooling technology on GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II uses five copper heat pipes, with heat release area 20 percent larger, so it can dissipate heat faster than other graphics cards.

Two 100-mm fans on the DirectCU II can increase the airflow, resulting in 20 percent colder, and remained 14 dB of silence.

Completing DirectCU II cooling technology on GeForce GTX 680, with the presence of two ration power distribution technology exclusively from ASUS DIGI+VRM. The design of DIGI+VRM has been used in the ASUS motherboard since 2010. With using a 10-phase DIGI+VRM can reduce noise power by up to 30 percent, even the lack of noise power can ensure a more stable power supply so that the performance of graphics cards can run more consistent and stable. Super Alloy Power components such as a solid-state capacitor, choke and MOSFET can provide longer life and anti-corrosive.

Hotwire VGA and GPU Tweak

Users can also utilize this graphics card with overclocking capabilities and better overvolting through Hotwire VGA hardware support and software utility Tweak GPU. VGA Hotwire presented with more precision overvolting excellence and complete. Users can solder wires directly to a more mutually accurate on Vcore voltage settings, Vmem, also for the PLL reading and adjustment, so it can maximize the potential of the GeForce GTX 680 graphics card. The presence of GPU Tweak gives users easy when you set the clock and boost clock, power consumption target, voltages, and fan rotation with a diverse selection of profiles.

    1. yes, can, but not recommended. since this card supporting overclocking and overvoltaging, you can increasing GPU clock as long as heat temperature remains within acceptable limit, if your reach temperature allowed, but if you want more, you should change cooler to reduce the heat temperature. so, keep your eyes on heat temperature while you make overvolting/overclock.

      1. What is the voltage limit on this card? The reference cards are 1.175v I believe. Even the EVGA FTW though having an 8vrm design has the same voltage limit as the reference.

Can you confirm that this card can be overvolted (supported in BIOS withought hard modding it) beyond 1.175 (reference limit) volts?
