I totally agree that smartphones are very useful “on the go” since you have access to GPS-enabled maps, email and wireless web. What I’m not so keen on is the extra cost of wireless web/data access which most providers consider an “add-on” to their regular monthly plan. And if you choose to go with one of the major providers, you have to commit yourself to pay their premium monthly rates for a full two years. Now that’s a huge commitment especially in this day and age where a lot can change in a two year period.
Since it is an android phone there are over 250,000 apps! And don’t you dare think that these are somehow “dumbed-down” version of an android phone. I want my android phones can pretty much do what any other droid phone can do with full access to apps, games, and social networks. Of course, I have Facebook, Twitter, and foursquare apps but I also play Words Free (it’s basically scrabbling) which lets me play with a random user or my Facebook friends. I also found the Buffalo Bills official app that I use constantly on Game Day. You can check-in (to tailgate parking lots or the stadium) and chat with other fans as well as see various stats in real-time. My dad actually loves the Google Sky Map app on my phone. You just hold your phone up towards the sky and Google Sky Map will show the stars, planets, constellations, and more to help you identify the celestial objects in view! Its like stargazing for dummies!
If I could get a smartphone that was only $45 a month that had all The power of Android and it included unlimited calls, unlimited text, unlimited picture messaging, and unlimited web data how could I go wrong? I Feel Richer with Android because I have literally cut the phone bill that I used to get from another provider in half.
